MORRIS SIMROD, 87, of
Southfield, died April 20.
He is survived by many loving
nieces, nephews and friends. Mr.
Simrod was the beloved husband of
the Mamie Simrod. Interment at
Machpelah Cemetery. Contributions

MARILYN WEINBERG, 69, former
Detroiter of Beachwood, Ohio, died
April 18. She began her career as a
sales person at the Winkelman stores
and then as a jewelry sales professional
with Bereger Jewelers for 10 years. In
the Ohio area, she was the founder
and owner of Just Bags Inc. for 23
years. Mrs. Weinberg was a nationally
ranked bridge - player and a regional
winner of many bridge tournaments.
She is survived by her son, Michael
Weinberg of Minneapolis; daughter,
Helene Weinberg-Tomecko; grand-
children, Hannah, Sarah and Joshua;
parents Julius and Ethel Hamburger.
She was the loving wife of the late
Herb Weinberg.
Services were held in Cleveland
Heights. Contributions may be made
to NCJW/Montefiore Hospice, One
David Meyers Parkway, Beachwood,
OH 44122.
MEYER STEWART, 57, of Pompano
Beach, Fla., died April 23. Mr. Stewart
was the owner of Detroit and
Boulevard Shoe Center.
He is survived by his son and
daughter-in-law, Dr. Jerome and
Rosemary Stewart of San Francisco;
daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and
Jim Thomas of Illinois; grandson,
David Stewart. Mr. Stewart was the
beloved husband of the late Jennie
Stewart. Interment at Adat Shalom
Memorial Park. Arrangements by Ira
Kaufman Chapel.
MICHAEL STRASBERGER, 38, of
West Bloomfield, died April 16. He
was a chemical salesman.
Mr. Strasberger is survived by his
parents, Morey and Shirley Strasberger
of Livonia; brothers and sisters-in-law,
Bob and Julie Strasberger of
Farmington Hills, Len and Meredith
Strasberger of Farmington Hills, Fred
and Cheryl Strasberger of Farmington
Hills.
Interment at B'nai Israel Cemetery.

SADELLE SUTHERLAND, 100, of
Southfield, died April 22.
She is survived by her daughter and
son-in-law, Phyllis and David
Madison of Southfield; son, Dr.
Kenneth Sutherland of Pompano
Beach, Fla.; brother and sister-in-law,
Maurice and Bea Greenbaum of Kings
Point, N.Y.; 11 grandchildren, 20
great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law,
Belle Greenbaum, Lillian Adler. She
