t's no picnic being a teen-ager. Everybody has an
opinion about how you should behave, how you should
dress, what you should do with your life. Adults are
never around when you want them — and always around
when you don't.
If you read the papers, you know that being a teen-ager can
be scary. And, if you love a teen-ager, you may be scared
too.
Luckily there's an organization that knows what teen-agers
are about. It's been around so long that parents — and
grandparents — still have their membership cards.
B'nai B'rith Youth Organization — known as BBYO — gives
youngsters a chance to pick up good Jewish values, to be
among other good kids, to mature and learn to lead
through activities like Jewish heritage nights and parent-teen
dialogues and community service projects.
As a constituent agency of the Jewish Federation, BBYO
gets Annual Campaign funding to sustain operations and
strengthen its many programs, serving more than 1,000 kids
in 36 chapters throughout the state of Michigan.
It's true that growing up is no walk in the park.
But BBYO makes the walk a whole lot more fun.
