Stacy is a student at Abbott
Middle School in West Bloomfield,
where art is her
favorite subject.
She participates in
tae kwondo,
horseback riding,
swimming and in-
line skating. Stacy
enjoys computer
games, movies and
dancing. She also
completed a
babysitting course and has worked
for two years as a babysitter for
Corey, son of Gayle and Gary
Docks.
Because of her love of children,
Stacy joined the Friendship Circle
and volunteered to help a family as
part of her mitzvah projects.

Carly Elizabeth Kaufman will
become a bat mitzvah on Saturday,
April 15, at Adat
Shalom Synagogue.
She is the daughter
of Joel and Nancy
Kaufman and sister
of Shelby and
Jacob. Proud
grandparents are
Herbert and
Dorothy
Reinheimer and
Dr. Benjamin and Estelle Kaufman.
Carly is an honor student at
Hillel Day School of Metrdpolitan
Detroit in Farmington Hills. Some
of her favorite activities are dancing,
swimming, Camp Tamarack sum-
mers and art. Her mitzvah projects
included involvement in the Jewish
Association for Residential Care,
Friendship Circle and making dolls
for Hadassah.

Lisa Brittany Matlen will celebrate
her bat mitzvah on Saturday, April
15, at Temple
Israel. She is the
daughter of Sharon
Matlen and Dr.
Steven Matlen and
sister of Stacey.
Excited grandpar-
ents are Esther and
Hyman Matlen
and Ted Ross.
An honor stu-
dent at Warner Middle School in
Farmington Hills, Lisa enjoys play-
ing the flute, working on computers
and playing hockey. Among her
mitzvah projects, she enjoyed tutor-

at Temple Israel's Labor Day picnic.

Rachel Prinstein was called to the
Torah as a bat mitzvah at
Congregation
Shaarey Zedek on
Saturday, April 1.
She is the daughter
of Dayle and Jay
Prinstein and the
sister of Justin.
Excited grandpar-
ents are Libby and
George
Weingarden and
Vivian and Allen Prinstein. Proud
great-grandmother is Bessie
Davidson. She is also the grand-
daughter of the late Shirley
Davidson.
Rachel is an honor student at
Warner Middle School in
Farmington Hills. She enjoys danc-
ing, kickboxing, tennis, acting and
summers at Camp Tanuga. Rachel's
most meaningful mitzvah project
was packing food for the Shining
Light Into Darkness program.

Alana Jamie Rouff will become a
bat mitzvah at Temple Israel on
Friday, April 14.
She is the daughter
of Karen and Dr.
Douglas Rouff and
sister of Eric and
Andrew. Delighted
grandparents are
Sylvia and Leonard
Rouff and Suzanne
and Herbert Tyner.
An honor stu-
dent at Bloomfield Hills Middle
School, Alana is interested in act-
ing, creative writing, tennis and ski-
ing. Her most meaningful mitzvah
projects were collecting and donat-
ing stuffed animals to the Detroit.
Police Department's Bears on Patrol
program and volunteering at Yad
Ezra.

Jake Sharfman will be called to the
Torah as a bar mitzvah at Temple
Israel on Saturday,
April 15. He is the
son of Randee
Sharfman and Saul
Sharfman and
grandchild of Rae
Ann and Donald
Sharfman and
Evelyn Eisenberg.
He is also the
grandson of the
late Harry Eisenberg.
