For 50+ Singles

The Singles Extension Group, for
Jewish singles age 50 and over, is
planning several travel opportunities
from June through September.
On Sunday, June 4, there will be a
trip to see a musical at the Boarshead
Theatre in Lansing. On Sunday, June
25, the group will see a play at the
Century Theatre in Detroit.
From Friday through Sunday, July
14-16, a trip is set for the Stratford
Festival. On Sunday, July 23, the
group will see a musical at the
Crosswell Theatre in Adrian.
A Lansing steamboat cruise is set
for Sunday, July 30. The Crosswell
Theatre in Adrian will be the destina-
tion for another musical on Sunday,
Aug. 6.
Niagara-on-the-Lake's Shaw
Festival will attract travelers Friday to
Sunday, Aug. 25-27. For a dinner the-
ater performance, join the trip to
Toronto, Friday through Sunday,
Sept. 8 10.

Sumner Study
In Israel

Maryland Institute, College of Art's
Division of Continuing Studies is
hosting a study abroad program, "The
Fine Artist Responds to Israel," in col-
laboration with the Bezalel Academy
of Arts and Design in Jerusalem.
The program will be held from
June 25-July 16. Preference will be
given to applications received prior to
April 14. Partial scholarships are avail-
able for all qualified candidates.
Students will be challenged
through sketches, drawing, painting,
and mixed media. Bezalel faculty will
oversee a program of cultural and his-
toric highlights, with time allotted for
sketching and journaling.
This program is part of the
Maryland Institute's Israel Cultural
Exchange Initiative with Bezalel
Academy and the Jerusalem Studio
School.
