aks Fifth Avenue at the Somerset
Collection recently hosted an Anne Klein
fashion show brunch to benefit the Child
Abuse and Neglect Council. More than 75
patrons attended.

Elyse Essick, director of institutional marketing
at Munder Capital Management in Birmingham,
was the chairperson. Saks Fashion Director Cheryl
Hall Lindsay credited Essick for the good turnout,
considering the event was announced and planned
within just one month. Some of the supporters
included Janice Morganroth, Andrea Morganroth,
Wendy Lampert, Linda Sircus, Lois Shaevsky,
Shelley Roberts, Harriet Rotter, Hillary Shulman,
Paula Schonberg, Linda Zalla, Sandy Stark, Myrna
Partridge, Brenda Passer and Judee Lewis.

ANTIQUES FESTIVAL
The 2000 Community House
Antiques Festival recently was held at the
Community House in Birmingham. More
than 600 guests attended the sold-out pre-
view evening. Kmart, the title sponsor for
the event, provided a galvanized watering
can filled with gardening tools for each
guest.
Some of the exhibitors included Judy
Frankel from the Antiques Centre of Troy
and Geoffrey Orley with his Shabahang
*Persian carpets. Arlene Kass, Frannie Greenebaum and
Shelley Roberts, all of the Community House, helped
organize the event. Some of the antique seekers spotted in
the crowd included Phyllis and Steven Strome, Judith
Adelman, Lois Shaevsky, Susie Knop, Cheryl and David
Gutow, Bruce and Suzy Gershenson.

BLOOMFEST
Gardens will be blooming in Cobo Hall April 6-9 at the
DTE Ene'rgy Detroit International Bloomfest.
