ter of the late Albert Pesis and the
late Friedel Elinger, for whom she is

Felicia is an honor student at
Warner Middle School in
Farmington Hills, where she plays
clarinet in the band. She enjoys
dance, music, theater, skiing, bicy-
cling, swimming, camp and travel.
Her mitzvah projects included
Shine the Light in Darkness
(Shaarey Zedek Men's Club and
Salavtion Army holiday meal pro-
gram), Danto Family Health Care
Center bingo, Bloomfield.Hills
Care Center gift basket and visita-
tion projects and Alyn Hospital.

Spencer Max Rubin will celebrate
his bar mitzvah at Havdala services
at Temple Israel on Saturday, March
18. He is the son
of Karen and Dr.
William Rubin and
brother of Marshall
and Ethan. Proud
grandparents are
Roz and Dr. Morris
Rubin and Doris
Epstein. He is also
the grandson of the
late Raymond Epstein.
An honor student at Dunckel
Middle School in Farmington Hills,
Spencer enjoys playing the guitar,
basketball, wrestling and computer
games. Among his mitzvah projects,
he volunteered with Meals on
Wheels, assisted at Menorah House
when Temple Israel's Caring
Community presented a birthday
party and helped at Temple Israel's
Labor Day picnic.

Rachel Lena Wasserman will be
called to the Torah as a bat mitzvah
on Saturday, March 18, at Temple
Shir Shalom. She is the daughter of
Mark and Rachel
Wasserman and
Beth Wasserman
and the sister of
Matthew.
Excited grand-
parents are Marlene
and Mel
Wasserman and
Marjorie Corey.
Proud great-grandmother is Lottie
Koltonow. Rachel is also the grand-
daughter of the late Joseph Corey
and the great-granddaughter of the
late Harry Koltonow and the late
Isadore and Lena Wasserman.

Middle School in West Bloomfield,
Rachel plays the clarinet in the con-
cert band. She also enjoys dance,
reading and working on the com-

Rachel's community service
through Temple Shir Shalom
includes assisting the teachers in
Sunday school and tutoring.

Bar/Bat Mitzvah

Zachary Ian Korby will be called to
the Torah on Saturday, March 18,
to celebrate his bar mitzvah at
Temple Israel in
Columbus, Ohio.
Zachary is the son
of Gordon and Jeri
Korby, formerly of
West Bloomfield.
Zachary is a sev-
enth-grade student
at Pickerington
Junior High School
in Pickerington, Ohio. He is a
member of the junior high choir.
He also plays volleyball and basket-
ball for the Pickerington Youth
Athletic Association. He is a mem-
ber of the temple youth group.
Zack volunteered at a local chil-
dren's day care facility as well as
made a donation to the Mid-Ohio
Food Bank and Mazon as his mitz-
vah project.
Zack is the grandson of Ruth and
Sheldon Korby of Livonia and the
late Sam and Jennie Dorfman.
