ABRAHAM JOSEPH
ROSENTHAL, 86, of Oak Park, died
Dec. 31. Mr. Rosenthal was a Mason
and a Shriner.
He is survived by his wife, Eve
Rosenthal; sons and daughter-in-law
Marvin and Mary Ann Rosenthal of
Southfield, Edmond Rosenthal of
Waterford; sister Belle Letzer of
Southfield; grandchildren Jennifer
Rosenthal, Kristin Rosenthal.

ALICE SCHRIER, 81, former
Detroiter of Los Angeles, died Dec.
28. She was a former dress buyer for
Federal Department Stores.
She is survived by her sisters, Lilyan
Victor and Dolores Goodwin; broth-
er-in-law Albert Goodwin; many
nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her
sisters and brothers-in-law, the late
Natalie Lax and the late Maurice E.
Lax; the late Geraldine Feldman, the
late Maurice V Victor.

ABRAM SMOLKIN, 90, of
Southfield, died Dec. 31.
He is survived by his wife, Lubov
Smolkina; son and daughter-in-law,
Semen and N'lila Smolkin of Russia;
daughter and son-in-law Lilly and
Edward Nisnevich of Southfield; sis-
ters Etta Dropkin of Russia, Sonya
Norkin of Russia; grandchildren Boris
Nisnevich, Eugene Nisnevich, Olga
Smolkin, Anna Smolkin.

CHAYA SORKIN, 78, of Southfield,
died Jan. 2.
She is survived by her husband,
Naum Sorkin; daughters and sons-in-
law Rozalia and Khaim Kirzhner of
Oak Park, Marina and Gary Bassin of
Southfield; grandchildren Masha,
Veronica, Dmitry. Interment was at
Hebrew Memorial Park. Services and
arrangements by Hebrew Memorial

ANN GROSS STARR, 86, of
Southfield, died Dec. 30.
She is survived by her sons and
daughters-in-law, Harvey and Lorraine
Starr of Farmington Hills, Lloyd and
Arlene Starr of West Bloomfield;
brother Morris Stein of Florida;
grandchildren Lloyd and Robin, Craig
and Lisy, Keith, Brian; great-grand-
children Jade, Cameron.
Mrs. Starr was the beloved wife of
the late Ben Starr and the late
Emanuel Gross.

JULIUS STOBINSKY, 92, of
Phoenix, Ariz., died Jan. 3.
He is survived by his sons and
daughters-in-law, Harold and Suzanne
Stobinsky of Scottsdale, Ariz., Leonard
and Colleen Stobinsky of Coral
Springs, Fla.; grandchildren Marla
Stobinsky, Andrea Jill and Bradley
Manhoff, Jay and Stacey Stobinsky,
Jennifer Stobinsky, Leisa and Brian
Manning; great-grandchild Trent
Stobinsky.
Mr. Stobinsky was the beloved hus-
band of the late Bertha Stobinsky.

Ivlachpelah Cemetery. Services and
arrangements by Hebrew Memorial
Chapel.

ROSELEE STOLER, 84, of
Farmington Hills, died Jan. 3. .
Ms. Sroler was a retail sales consul-
tant. She was a volunteer at Sinai
Hospital Guild, the Judson Center
and at Borman Hall and Fleischman
Residence. She was also a member of
Hadassah, the PTA of Cerveny
School, sunshine chairman and a past
member of Congregation BethAaron.
