Mr. Braiker is survived by his
wife, Lois Braiker; sons and daugh-
ter-in-law Michael and Lori Braiker
of Minnesota, David Braiker of
Oregon; daughter Sheryl Braiker of
Oregon; grandchildren Jessica and
Olivia Braiker, Jonathan Braiker and
Rachelle Braiker; sister Ruth Crane
of Florida.
He was the dear brother of the
late Arthur Braiker and the late
Raymond Braiker.

Detroiter of Phoenix, died Dec. 18.
She is survived by her daughters

Beverly Hills, died Dec. 20.
She is survived by her son, Naum

She was the beloved wife of the

RENNETTE ELDER, 100, of
Southfield, died Dec. 20.
Mrs. Elder was a teacher for the
Detroit Public Schools who had a
master's in education and econom-
ics. She was also a member of the
American Federation of Teachers
and the Detroit Federation of
Teachers.
Mrs. Elder is survived by her sis-
ter and brother-in-law, Jean and
Dexter Goulston of Livonia;
nephews and nieces Daniel and
Cynthia Goulston, Janet Goulston,
Dr. Ronald and Adele Seltzer.
She was the beloved wife of the
late Arthur Elder and the dear sister
of the late Dr. Lawrence Seltzer.

SEYMOUR A. GENDEN, 77, of
Oak Park, died Dec. 14.
Mr. Genden was a chemical engi-
neer with Teledyne. He was a gradu-
ate of Northern High School and
attended Wayne State University,
Texas A & M and the University of
Michigan and had a master's in
chemical engineering and rriechani-
cal engineering. He was a volunteer
with Meals on Wheels and an avid
tennis player.
Mr. Genden is survived by his
wife, Fay Genden; son and daugh-
ter-in-law Dr. Steven and Susan
Genden of Southfield; daughter -
Marci Genden of California; grand-
children Rena and Joseph Genden,
Zoelle Egner; sister and brother-in-
law Arlene and Sam Goldsmith of
Florida; brother-in-law and sister-in
law Dr. Sanford and Beverly
Wiatrak.
Interment was at Beth El

mer Detroiter of Tarzana, Calif,
died Dec. 5.
She is survived by her daughter

Monkman.
Mrs. Gilbert was the beloved wife
of the late George Gilbert; loving
sister of the late Mary Stoller, the
late Ida Klevansky and the late
Irving Kersh.
Internment was in Mission Hills,
Calif.
JOAN GOLDBERG, former
Detroiter of Syracuse, N.Y., died
Dec. 14.
She was a graduate of the
University of Michigan and earned a
doctorate at Rutgers University. She
was active in adult counseling and
gave many presentations in the field
as well as helping people renew their
lives.
She is survived by her husband,
Doug Igelsrud of Syracuse; sister
Sheilah Goldberg of Oak Park;
aunts, uncles and cousins.
Memorial services were in
Syracuse.
SALMAN GRAND, 91, of
Franklin, died Dec. 20.
Mr. Grand was an auto parts
manufacturer, industrialist and
founder of Deco Grand, Inc. He was
a life member of Congregation
Shaarey Zedek, a member of Adat
Shalom Synagogue, American
Technion Society and a past presi-
dent of its Detroit chapter.
Mr. Grand is survived by his
daughters and son-in-law, Elizabeth
"Betsy" Marcus of San Francisco,
Diana and Dr. Richard Karp of
California; son and daughter-in-law
Stephen and Nancy Grand of
