a bat mitzvah. Her mitzvah projects
included serving Christmas dinner
at the Salvation Army, volunteering
with the summer children's program
at the Orange County Public
Library and ushering for services at
synagogue. In honor of her bat
mitzvah, Carly will make tzedaka
contributions to the Myasthenia
Gravis Association and the Cystic
Fibrosis Foundation.

Na'an, Israel. He is
the brother of
Coby and Ariel. Micha is the grand-
son of Barbara Cantor of West
Bloomfield and the late Larry
Cantor, Bobbie Cohen and the late
Sol Cohen.
Micha is an honor student at
Jewish Day School of Seattle and
enjoys skiing, soccer, skateboarding
and playing guitar. He volunteers at
the kosher food bank and is an
after-school tutor at his school.

at Synagogue Beth
Yehuda, The
Hague,
Netherlands. She is
the daughter of
Bette Shifman and
Hans Obdeyn of
The Hague and sis-
ter of Ted Obdeyn.
Her grandparents are Sue and Burt
Shifman of West Bloomfield and
Anny and Theo Obdeyn of Raalte,
Netherlands.
Marieke is in a double honors
program at school. Her main inter-
ests are science, math, music and
computers; she plays on the field
hockey team and skis. Marieke
attended the National Music Camp
at Interlochen for several summers.
She enjoys designing Web sites and
has prepared a special bat mitzvah
