Gold-Beck

Sharlene and Dr. Sidney Beck of West
Bloomfield are proud to announce the
engagement of their daughter Linsey
Patricia to Michael Scott Gold, son of
Loretta and Jack Gold of West
Bloomfield.
Linsey earned a bachelor of arts
degree from the University of Michigan
and will earn her medical degree from
the University of Osteopathic Medicine

and Health Sciences in Des Moines,
Iowa, in June 2000. She plans to pursue
a residency in general surgery.
Michael is president and founder of

A May wedding is planned at

Betel-Heller

Wendy Joy Betel and Rabbi Joshua
Zvi Heller were married recently at
Adat Shalom Synagogue. Officiating
were Rabbi Zachary Heller, Rabbi
Daniel Nevins, Rabbi Efry Spectre,
Cantor Howard Glantz and Cantor
Emeritus Larry Vieder. Rabbis Mayer
Rabinowitz and Joel Roth of the Jewish
Theological Seminary signed the ketu-
ba.
The bride is the daughter of Ellen
and Edward Betel of West Bloomfield.
The bridegroom is the son of Rabbi
Zachary and Dr. Lynne Heller of
Newton, Mass.
Beverly Betel, sister of the bride, was
the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were

Jessica Betel, Miriam Heller, Debbi
Bohnen and Debra Chopp. Melanie
Betel was a junior bridesmaid.
Groomsmen were Allan Erbsen, Ethan
Gershon and Rabbis Michael Bernstein,
Shai Held and David Lerner. Steven
Betel and Joshua Klein were junior
groomsmen.
Wendy and Josh were honored to
have their grandparents Lenore and
Ron Anderson and Brenda Betel partici-
pate in the ceremony.
Following a week of sheva brachot
starting in Teaneck, N.J., the couple
enjoyed a honeymoon in Alaska.
Wendy and Joshua now make their
home in Riverdale, N.Y.
