BEVERLY RUTH TAYLOR, 63, of

West Bloomfield, died Nov. 3.
Mrs. Taylor was a member of Temple
Israel Sisterhood, Congregation B'nai
David Sisterhood, CARTE, Sinai
Hospital Guild. She was also involved
with numerous polio and cancer causes.
She is survived by her husband of 39
years, Philip Taylor; son Kevin Taylor
and Lisa Ring of West Bloomfield;
daughter and son-in-law Lisa and Jim
Hill of Waterford; grandchildren
Nicholas Hill, Christopher Hill and
Jacob Ring Taylor.
Interment was at Adat Shalom
Memorial Park. Contributions may be
made to the Downtown Synagogue or
the March of Dimes. Arrangements by
Ira Kaufman Chapel.

CARL VA_NN, 69, of Southfield, died

Nov. 12.
He is survived by his wife, Diane
Moody; son and daughter-in-law
Stephen (Sylvie Bigar) Vann of New
York; daughter Lesley Vann of Fort
Worth, Texas; sister and brother-in-law
Eleanor and Philip Gross of Syracuse,
N.Y.; grandchildren Joshua and Rachel
Vann.

Mrs. Zager was the beloved wife of
the late Norman Zager; loving mother of
the late Judith Zager; loving sister of the
late Jack Kurland.

MORRIS ZELMON, 74, of Madison

Heights, died Nov. 9.
He is survived by his son and daugh-
ter-in-law, Marc and Anita Zelmon of
Madison Heights; daughter and son-in-
law Toba and Vern Woodruff of Clinton,
Miss.; grandchildren Steven Milam,
Erika Zelmon, Kelanie Woodruff, Alicia
Woodruff:
Mr. Zelmon was the beloved husband
of the late Barbara Zelmon.

Jacobo Timerman

Buenos Aires, (JTA) —
Jacobo Timerman, 76, a former
Argentinian political prisoner and life-
long Zionist, died here Nov. 11 after suf-
fering a heart attack.
Mr. Timerman, an outspoken and
controversial journalist, was best known
for his 1981 book about his time in
prison, Prisoner Without a Name, Cell
Without a Number, which he wrote from
exile in Israel.
In it, he detailed his 30 months under
house arrest in Argentina during the late
1970s, when Argentina's military junta
killed thousands of people.
