Judaica Gifts by Lewis & Lewis
— www.teleport.com/Aewis/,
888-254-9509
This pair of Jewish artists in the
woods of Oregon uses what nature
has given them to turn a profit.
Crafting everything they make out of
the wood of the indigenous myrtle
trees, the Lewises make beautiful,
surprisingly light and airy creations.
No heavy blocks of wood here; every-
thing is finely hand carved, from the
delicate dreidel ($40) to the Purim
grogger festooned with plum blos-
soms ($57.50). The tzedaka and hav-
dala boxes (vary in prices) are exquis-
itely fine but the mezuzot ($35, com-
plete with scroll) are a little on the
boring side.

The Jewish Bazaar —

Unbelievable that something like
this exists yet totally believable. This
store has absolutely everything imag-
inable for the Judaica shopper. From
kitties to kitsch, from tallit to tapes-
tries, this store has it all in a huge,
huge, huge selection. Honestly, you
could spend all morning just at this
site and not see it all. Looking for a
bris gift? Check out the charmingly
sweet Aleph Bet quilt (a steal at $40).
Need a gift for hostess for the woman
who has everything but good taste?
Nothing better than the Bagel Man
music box that belts out, "If I Were a
Rich Man" (yours for the sale price of
$52, reg. $60).

Had to include this reference for
those of you who want to shop in
Brooklyn but not have to deal with
the mishegoss that is New York. This
tiny store, packed to the rafters with
a fairly good selection, greets the
shopper with the following:
"Welcome, I'll be with you in a
moment. It's not easy keeping up
with all this stock." Okay, so you get
a little attitude. Sue me. However, be
prepared for the stone ages of
Internet graphics and technology.
