SHIRLEY LESLIE, 86, of Southfield, died
Oct. 31.
She is survived by her husband, Archie
Leslie; son Laurence Leslie of Swartz Creek;
sister Rhoda Hochwold of West Bloomfield;
grandchildren Michael and Diana Leslie;
great-grandson Aaron Leslie.

DR. J. CARL NATCHF.7., 84, of Lansing,
died Oct. 23.
He attended the University Of Michigan
and after 12 years in the business world
returned to school and graduated valedicto-
rian of his class from Chicago College of
Optometry. Dr. Natchez practiced for 48
years in Flint, Grand Blanc and Lansing.
He was a retired lieutenant colonel of the
United States Air Force, serving in World
War II, and was a liaison officer of the U.S.
Air Force Academy.
Dr. Natchez is survived by his wife,
Mary Ann Natchez; children Renee and Jim
Cox, Dr. Jeffrey Natchez and fiance
Samantha Paliani, Toni and Josh Carroll,
Shay Natchez; grandchildren Jackie, Jim and
Denise, Tim and Kim, Tammy and Robert,
Jordan; great-grandchildren Jennifer,
Nathan, Kelsay, Cory, Katie, Trent, Alyssa,
Erik, Jeffrey and Lindsay; sisters and broth
ers-in-law. Bettina and Jack Gold, Lillian
and Bernard Friedman; brother-in-law
David Katz.
He was the beloved husband of the late
Marjorie Natchez, the loving grandfather of
the late Niki Renee and the dear brother of
the late Mary Jane Katz and the late Ben
Natchez, and devoted son of the late Shay
and Jennie Natchez..

BELLE ROSENBAUM, 87, formerly of
Southfield, of St. Petersburg, Fla., died Oct.
27. She was a homemaker and a member of
Temple Beth El and Women's American
ORT.
She is survived by her daughters, Barbara
Kopitz of West Bloomfield, Sharon
Weinstein of Virginia Beach, Va., Linda
Rosenbaum of Toronto; brother Leo
Koenigsberg of Virginia; grandchildren
Steve (Cathy) Kopitz, Jeffrey (Beverly)
Kopitz, Dennis (Kate) Kopitz, Tori
Weinstein, Michael Christmas, Sarah
Christmas; five great-grandchildren.
EMILY SAMUELS, 90, of Southfield, died
Oct. 28. For 46 years Mrs. Samuels was an
interior designer and was working until this
past June.
Mrs. Samuels is survived by her daughter
and son-in-law, Dr. Merla and Richard
Wolk of Franklin; son.and daughter-in-law
Barry and Joyce Samuels of Santa Barbara,
Calif., grandchildren David and Miriam
Wolk, Steven Wolk and Dr. Alyssa Ziman;
seven great-grandchildren.
