HUGO APT, 84, died Oct. 26.
Mr. Apt was born in Niederaula,
Germany, and graduated from the
Teachers Seminary in Wurzburg.
He is survived by his sons and daugh-
ters-in-law, Eli and Brenda Apt of Oak
Park, Rabbi Dovid and Sarah Apt of Oak
Park; daughter and son-in-law Bernice
and Rabbi Avrohom Hershoff of
Jerusalem; 12 grandchildren and 11
great-grandchildren.

MARIE BARNETT, 89, of Farmington
Hills, died Oct. 19.
Mrs. Barnett was a clothing sales con-
sultant. She worked until age 80 in the
Eden Rock Hotel in Miami Beach,
befriending celebrities such as Lucille
Ball, Barbara Walters and Don Johnson.
She kept current with world affairs; her
thirst for learning lasted until the end of
her life.
She is survived by her son and daugh-
ter-in-law, Howard and Elly Barnett;
grandchildren Susan Barnett, Scott and
Szlvia Barnett; sister-in-law Donna
Lewis.
Mrs. Barnett was the beloved wife of
the late William Barnett.
Interment was in New York.

SHIRLEY FISHMAN, 91, of
BERTHA BRAWER, 88, of Detroit,
died Oct. 23.
She is survived by her sisters, Esther,
Bluma, Mary, Elsie, Lillian and Rose.

NATHAN BUTRIMOVITZ, 81, of
Oak Park, died Oct. 21.
Nate Butrimovitz retired from the
Detroit Public Schools after 36 years as a
reacher and department head in social
studies and history. He taught com-
mencement classes at B'nai Moshe.
He was an active board member and
officer in Young Israel, involved with the
Yeshiva Beth Yehudah day schools, and a
strong supporter, builder and mentor in
the Yeshiva Gedolah.
An avid gardener, "he planted his
kindness and seeds of wisdom through-
out the community," said his daughter,
Susan Terebelo. "He was a beloved hus-
band, devoted father and dear zayde.
He is survived by his wife of 57
years, Edith Butrimovitz; sons and
daughters-in-law Rabbi Menachem and
Judy Butrimovitz of Oak Park, Gerald
and Miriam Butrimovitz of San
Francisco; daughter and son-in-law
Susan and Bennett Terebelo of
Southfield; sisters Alice Kirschner of
Southfield, Bernice Margolin of
Houston; grandchildren including Ilana
and Matthew Butrimotvitz of San
Franscisco and Ariana and Jillian
Terebelo of Southfield; and great-
grandchildren.

JOSEPHINE I. BLOOM, 94, of
Southfield, died Oct. 21. Mrs. Bloom
was active in the Jewish community and
with civic and arts organizations. She
earned a social work degree from the
University of Pennsylvania.
She was a past president of Temple
Beth El Sisterhood and a member of the
Founders Society of the Detroit Institute
of Arts. She was also a past board mem-
ber of Temple Beth El, Travelers Aid
Society, Children's Center of Wayne
County, Women's American ORT, Fresh
Air Society and the Cranbrook Academy
of Arts.
Mrs. Bloom is survived by her sons
and daughter-in-law, John Bloom of
Southfield, Douglas and Barbara Bloom
of Birmingham; grandchildren David
and Boksook Bloom; two great-grand-
children.
She was the beloved wife of the late
Dr. Arthur Bloom for 63 years.
Interment was at Clover Hill Park

HAROLD M. FLUSTY, 94, of West
Bloomfield, died Oct. 20.
Mr. Flusty was originally a linens
deliveryman. During World War II, he
opened the Sky Club Bar with his twin
brother, Jack. He retired from the bar in
1965.
Mr. Flusty is survived by his wife of
72 years, Sylvia Flusty; sons and daugh-
ters-in-law Norton and Sally Flusty of
West Bloomfield, Maynard and Marilynn
