Jewish Marriage
Workshop Set

At Botsford Commons' Assisted Living Center
You Don't Have To Change A Thing.

Engaged couples and newlyweds can
learn what to do before saying, "I do,"
at a new workshop titled "Happily Ever
After: Building a Jewish Marriage." The
five-part Monday night series is spon-
sored by Jewish Family Service, the
Jewish Federation's Young Adult
Division and the Conservative Rabbis
of Metropolitan Detroit.
Beginning 7-9 p.m. Monday, Oct.
18, at Congregation Beth Abraham
Hillel Moses, participants will learn
how to enhance and strengthen a mar-
riage relationship. Topics will include
communication, negotiation tech-
niques, intimacy and creating a Jewish
home and family.
The workshop will be led by rabbis
and JFS clinical social workers. For

Jerusalem Vision will host a live video
conference/town meeting on "Issues in
Parentin g : The Impact of Media and
TV on C'our Family and Culture" noon
Tuesday, Oct. 26, at the Star Theatre,
Southfield.
Panelists include Dr. Diane
Medved, Michael Medved and
Professor Neil Postman. Dr. Medved is
a clinical psychologist, author and
nationally known media personality.
Her books have dealt with family
issues and weight management.
Hr husband, Michael Medved, is a
film critic, author and nationally syn-
dicated radio talk show host. He has
been a screenwriter and co-host of
Sneak Previews, the televised weekly
movie review show on PBS.
Dr. Postman chairs the department
of Culture and Communication at
New York University. He is the author
of 20 books and has lectured through-
out the world.
