BERNARD "BERNIE"
SCHNEIDER, 73, of Birmingham,
died Oct. 6.
He is survived by his wife, Mili
Schneider; son and daughter-in-law
Jimmy and Edie Schneider of West
Bloomfield; brother Al Schneider of
Southfield; grandchildren Andrea
Schneider, Emily Schneider, Julie
Schneider.
Mr. Schneider was the loving father
of the late David Schneider.
Contributions may be made to a charity

Tefilo Cemetery. Services and arrange-

GERALD SCHOEM, 77, of Ann
Arbor, died Oct. 2.
Mr. Schoem was a religious adminis-
trative fund-raiser. As a volunteer in
retirement, he served the Turner
Geriatric Clinic.
At age 23 he was president of Temple
Beth Israel of Maywood, N.J. He
became president of the National
Association of Synagogue
Administrators after serving 20 years as
executive director of Har Zion Temple
in Philadelphia and Beth Hamidrosh
Hagodol in Denver.
For many years he led fund-raising
trips to Israel with corporate leaders
from around the country on behalf of
Israel Bonds. He also served as vice pres-
ident of Hahneman Hospital in
Philadelphia.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years,
Sara Schoem; sons and daughters-in-law
Mark and Esther Schoem of California,
David and Karyn Schoem of Ann
Arbor; grandchildren Davida, Jesse,
Adina and Shana; brother and sister-in-
law Robert and Georgiana Schoem of
New Jersey.
Interment was at Arborcrest
Cemetery. Contributions may be made
to a charity of one's choice.

SIDNEY ISAAC SCHWARTZ, 68,
of Whitmore Lake, died Oct. 3. Mr.
Schwartz was the owner of Michigan
Textiles.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara
Schwartz; son and daughter-in-law
Michael and Pat Schwartz of
Tecumseh; daughters and son-in-law
Debbie and Stan Megdall of West
Bloomfield, Karen Schwartz of
Berkley; grandchildren Hannah and
Mollie Megdall, Rebecca and Rachel
Schwartz.
Mr. Schwartz was the loving
father of the late Jeffrey Schwartz
and the beloved son of the late Harry
and the late Rose Schwartz.
Interment was at Beth El Memorial

DOROTHY SCHWARTZMAN,
74, of West Bloomfield, died Oct: 7.
Mrs. Schwartzman was a teacher and
a past president of the Jewish War
Veterans Women's Auxiliary.

daughter and son-in-law Ilene and
James Robert of Oak Park; brother
and sister-in-law Gerald and Marlene
Rothenberg of Indiana; sisters and
brother-in-law Teresa Wirbeleit,
Irene and Ted Panayi of Indiana.

IRVING SNIDERMAN, 84, of
Southfield, died Oct. 4.
Mr. Sniderman was a CPA and
founder of Sniderman and Sweitzer
in Southfield. He was active with the
Detroit Folk Dance Group as well as
the Institute for Retired
Professionals. He was a member of
the Zionist Organization of America
and a past president of the
Accountants Guild.
Mr. Sniderman is survived by his
wife, Charlotte Sniderman; son and
daughter-in-law Gerald and Ann
Sniderman of Huntington Woods;
stepchildren Sandra Pasmanter of
Minnesota, Janice and Larry Otto of
Washington, Denise Pasmanter of
Minnesota; grandchildren David and
Susan Sniderman, Nathaniel and Eli
Pasmanter; brothers and sisters-in-
law Albert and Reva Sniderman of
California; Sam and Diane
Sniderman of Okemos.
He was the beloved husband of
the late Leona Sniderman.
