died Sept. 29.
Mr. Bell is survived by his wife,
Helen R. Bell; daughters and sons-
in-law Joan and Dr. Ned
Winkelman, Marjorie and Dr. Louis
Mendelson, Emily and Dr. David
Lowe; grandchildren Laura, Mark,
David, Andrew, Elizabeth, Kate and
Jonathan.
Contributions may be made to a
charity of one's choice. Placed at the
request of the family by Ira
Kaufman Chapel.

ANNABELLE BERLIN COGGAN,
89, of Prairie Village, Kan., died
Sept. 28.
Mrs. Coggan is survived by her
daughters and sons-in-law, Carolsue
and Dr. Joel Barkoff of
Albuquerque, N.M., Nancy and
Herbert Kohn; grandchildren
Deborah and Scott Hudgins, Jeffrey
and Jeanne Barkoff, Roger and
Karen Barkoff, Dr. Lara and Dr.
John Baca, David Kohn and Karen
Kohn; nine great-grandchildren;
brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law
Leonard and Edith Berlin of
California and Allen and Batya
Berlin of Bloomfield Hills.
She was the beloved wife of the
late Dr. Robert A. Coggan and the
dear sister of the late Julia Moldof,
the late Estelle Raider, the late
Sylvia Latt and the late Reta Daitch.
Interment was at Machpelah
Cemetery. Arrangements by Ira
Kaufman Chapel.

NATHAN "NATE" COHEN, 75,
of Oak Park, died Sept. 29. Mr.
Cohen was the co-owner of Sam's
Auto Parts in
Hazel Park for
over 60 years.
He is survived
by his son and
daughter-in-law,
Dr. Stan and
Barbara Cohen
of West
Bloomfield;
daughters and
sons-in-law
Nathan Cohen
Donna and
Larry Solomon
of Chicago,
Sandra and Gary Miller of West
Bloomfield; brother and sister-in-
law Eddie and Carol Cohen of West
Bloomfield; sister-in-law Lois
Cohen; grandchildren Gregory, Eric,
Aaron, Adam, Laura, Josh, Amanda.
Mr. Cohen was the beloved hus-

band of the late June Cohen.

Clover Hill Park Cemetery. Services

CHARLES ELLSTEIN, 49, native
Detroiter of East Lansing, died Oct.
1. Mr. Ellstein was a chief financial
officer and group vice president of
the Michigan Health and Hospital
Association.
Mr. Ellstein was past president of
Greater Lansing Jewish Welfare
Federation; past president
Congregation Kehillat Israel, chair
of the blood services committee of
Mid-Michigan Chapter, American
Red Cross; board member of
Michigan State University Hillel;
life member Alpha Epsilon Pi frater-
nity, member of University Club of
MSU; co-chair of the United Way
Drive of Michigan Health and
Hospital Association;
He received a bachelor's degree in
education from Wayne State
University (political science major);
Walsh College of Accountancy and
Business Administration (post-
degree program in accounting,
finance and economics); University
of Michigan School of Public
Health coursework towards a mas-
ters in public health degree in
health management and policy.
His professional recognitions
include being a fellow of the
Heathcare Financial Management
Association, HFMA founders medal
of honor, Follmer, Reeves and
Muncie gold merit awards; past
chairman of A2HA National
Association of State Hospital
Financial Specialists.
Mr. Ellstein is survived by his
wife, Dr. Carol Ellstein; daughter
Melissa Ellstein; parents Bertram
and Eleanore Ellstein of Redford;
brothers and sister-in-law Mark
Ellstein, Matthew and Joann
Ellstein of Lansing; brothers-in-law
and sisters-in-law Dr. Larry and
Alyeen Krugel, Dr. Richard and
Sally Krugel.
Interment at Machpelah Cemetery.
