Bar/Bat Mitzvah

Joshua Aaron Felsenfeld will be called
to the Torah as a bar
mitzvah on Saturday,
Sept. 25, at Adat
Shalom Synagogue.
Joshua is the son of
Drs. Robert
Felsenfeld and
Brenda Weingarten
and brother of Elyssa
and Matthew.
Joshua's proud
grandparents are Dr. Charles and
Ruth Weingarten and William and
Shirley Felsenfeld. He is the great-
grandson of Belle Rosender and Nettie
Weingarten.
Joshua is an honor student at
Abbott Middle School in West
Bloomfield. He plays the saxophone in
the Wind Ensemble and enjoys golf,
tennis, skiing and going to Camp
Walden. Joshua's mitzvah projects
included volunteering at Jewish
Family Service and making a donation
to JARC.

Daniel Justin Muskovitz will be called
to the Torah as a bar
mitzvah on Saturday,
Sept. 25, at
Congregation B'nai
Moshe. Daniel is the
son of Debbie and
Alan Muskovitz and
the brother of Amy.
He is the grandchild
of Lorraine and
David Moss and the late Florence and
Dave Muskovitz. Daniel is also the
great-grandchild of Bernice Cohen
and the late Alex Cohen.
He is an honor student at West
Hills Middle School in Bloomfield
Hills, where he plays the viola in the
orchestra. Daniel enjoys bicycling,
swimming, golfing, going to camp and
downhill skiing. His most meaningful
mitzvah project was volunteering at
Yad Ezra.

Gregory David Shumer will be called
to the Torah as a bar
mitzvah on Friday,
Sept. 24, at Temple
Israel. He is the son
of Barbara and
Steven Shumer and
brother of Daniel
and Jeffrey. Proud
grandparents are Sue
and Leo Knight and
Kathryn Hartrick. He is also the
grandson of the late James Hartrick
and the late Gerald Shumer.

PRESENTS

His most meaningful mitzvah pro-
ject was donating to the Jewish
Federation's Kosovo Refugee Fund; he
also assisted at Yad Ezra and volun-
teered at Temple Israel. A student at
Warner Middle School in Farmington
Hills, Greg's hobbies include soccer,
basketball, in-line hockey and nature
walks.

Matthew Ryan Sikora (Moshe) will
celebrate his bar
mitzvah on
Saturday, Sept. 25,
at Temple Israel. He
is the son of Julie
and Glenn Sikora
and brother of
Lindsey. Proud
grandmother is
Renee Zahler. He is
also the grandson of the late Charlotte
and Sam Wasserman.
A student at Dunckel Middle
School in Farmington Hills, Matthew
enjoys karate, basketball, football,
water sports, aggressive skating and
golf. His most meaningful mitzvah
project involved delivering food to the
elderly.

Andrew Scott Bauer will be called
to the Torah as a bar mitzvah on
Saturday, Sept. 25,
at Temple Beth
Tikvah in Wayne,
N.J.
Andrew is the
son of former
Detroiters Rhonda
and Michael Bauer
and is the younger
brother of Matthew.
Proud grandparents
are Elisabeth and Kurt Bauer of
Farmington Hills and Sam Silver of
West Bloomfield. Andrew is also the
beloved grandson of the late Shirley
Silver.
Andrew is an honor student at
Schuyler-Colfax Middle School in
Wayne. He plays competitive tennis,
basketball and keyboards, and loves
computer and video games.
As part of his mitzvah program,
Andrew volunteered at a local nurs-
ing home. He also collected dona-
tions for the Juvenile Diabetes
Association and Box Tops for
Education for his school. Andrew is
donating a portion of his bar mitz-
vah gifts to the American Cancer
Society in loving memory of his
grandmother Shirley Silver.
