The Jewish Community Center's Jimmy
Prentis Morris Building in Oak Park is
offering a wide range of classes this fall
for preschoolers and other children, pre-
teens, teens and adults.
Creative dance with Harriet Berg
introduces young children to basic
dance movement. The first class, from
10:15-11 a.m., is for 3 year olds. The
11:15 a.m.-noon session is for 4 and 5
year olds. Both series run nine weeks.
The fee is $56 for members, $72 for
non-members.
Movin' with Maureen and Coco is a

class offering original music, movement,
puppets and storytelling. The 10:15-
11:15 a.m. mother-toddler class is for 1
1/2 to 3 year olds and the 11 a.m.-12:15
p.m. class is for 3 and 4 year olds. The
last half-hour of each class features gym
time with Lori. Both series meet
Wednesdays for nine weeks. The cost is
$70 for members, S85 for non-members.
Kidzcraft with Jacqui Aronoff
explores the world of arts and crafts. The
10:30-11:45 a.m. class is for mothers
and toddlers ages 2 1/2 to 3 years; the
11:30 a.m.-12:45 p.m. session is for 4
and 5 year olds. The last half-hour of
class features gym time with Lori. Both
series meet Thursdays for nine weeks.
The fee is $70 for members, $85 for
non-members. An additional S6 materi-
als fee is paid to the instructor.
JCC librarian Julie Solomon leads a
mother-toddler story hour for children
ages 2 1/2 to 5 year old. The class runs
from 10-10:30 a.m. Thursdays for nine
sessions; it's free for members with a S2
drop-in charge for non-members.
Jazz classes for girls are offered
Mondays for seven sessions. The class
for grades 1-3 meets 4:30-5:30 p.m. An
evening class for grades 3-6 runs 6-7
p.m. The cost is $64 for members and
$84 for non-members.
Magician Jeff Ferreri is teaching a
magic class on Wednesdays for nine
weeks. The class is held from 4-5:15
p.m. for children in grades 2-5. The cost
is $50 for members and $65 for non-
members, plus a $6 materials fee paid to
the instructor.
Children in grades 3-6 can take
Potpourri, a class dealing with unusual
art forms. It meets on Wednesdays for
nine weeks, from 5:30-6:45 p.m. The
cost is $50 for members and $65 for
non-members, with a $6 materials fee
paid to the instructor.
Students in grades 7-12 may sign up
for a drama class that meets Wednesdays
