Cahill, Allison Lubanski, Hailee Korotkin and Olivia Koiy. Not pictured,

The Franklin Slammers, managed by Brian Cahill and coached by Brenda
Burkhardt, Lou Elkus and Rob Kaplan, won the Millington and Clio Girls
10-under fast-pitch softball tournaments the weekends of July 10 and 17.
The team, made up of three players from the Franklin League and 11
players from the North Farmington-West Bloomfield League, had three
weeks to practice together before the first tournament in Millington, Mich.
A come-from-behind win against Northville in extra innings gave the
Franklin Slammers the championship at Millington.
Then in Clio, outstanding pitching and a triple play against Grand Blanc
in the championship game brought home back-to-back tournament wins for
the Slammers.
