I

f I ran Hillel, I'd make some
changes. First of all we ‘vouldn r
be sitting all day. NX/e would be
able to ger up and stretch a little
-more often.
Lunch period would be longer so
wed have more rime to eat. The
upper-school lockers would be larger
so we could Fir in all of our belongings.
In addition, we'd have more time
between classes. I would abolish the
policy that stares that if students are
tardy for class one time they receive a
,detention. Furthermore, school should
be let out earlier in June so that we
could get a jump on summer vacation.
Next on the agenda, lectures would
be replaced by games, contests and
independent study. The students would
research the topic by themselves and
present it in a report. Then the rest of
the class could take notes on what they
_don't already have in their notes.
--- Finally, every desk would have a lap-
top computer on it so the students
could do research and compare notes.
Students would be less likely to lose
their notes and assignments. In addition
to that, they could add to their reports
on the spot when they find information
instead of waiting until they get home.
Laptop computers would make
c>schoolwork easier and more enjoyable.
Hillel is a great school. With my
changes put into place, it would be
outstanding!
