DR. LOUIS WOLL, 78, of
Farmington Hills, died July 29.
Dr. Woll is survived by his son and
daughter-in-law, Drs. Douglas and
Margo Woll of West Bloomfield; daugh-
ter and son-in-law Mindy and David
Dunn of Walled Lake; sister and broth-
er-in-law Frances and Max Winston of
Valley Village, Calif.; grandchildren
Samantha, Monica, Bradley and
Brooke.
He was the beloved husband of the
late Fay Woll.
Graveside services were at Machpelah
Cemetery. Contributions may be made
to a charity of one's choice.

Yitzhak Rafael

BIRMINGHAM, MICHIGAN

Serving the Entire Jewish Community

Yitzhak Rafael, 85, who helped bring
hundreds of thousands of immigrants to
Israel, died Tuesday in Jerusalem after a
long illness. Rafael, who headed the
immigration department of the Jewish
Agency for Israel in the nation's early

years, oversaw waves of immigration
from 1948 - 1953. Rafael was Israel's reli-

gious affairs minister from 1974-1977
and served seven terms as a lawmaker
from the National Religious Party.
