out the chair or
couch before
West Bloomfield
interior designer Lynda
Charfoos will finalize the
sale.
Determining if a chair
or couch is the right fit is
as important to Charfoos
as style and color.
"Particularly in these
days when more people are
setting aside rooms for
home offices, they need to
be comfortable at a desk
and ar their computers,"
says Charfoos. "That
means finding furniture
that facilitates correct pos-
ture for the individual.
"Fortunately' for myself
and my clients, exemplary
posture has always been
one of my major consider-
ations. I was one of those
tall, gangly kids who lis-
tened to her mother when
she yelled, Don't slouch!'"
Modeling classes at age
13 and a 25-year modeling
career made good posture
second nature for
Charfoos. At the Michigan
Design Center. in Troy, she
will spend hours helping
clients try out couches and
chairs to make sure the

Lynda Charfoos worries

about clients' posture.
