In advance of the June 29 Maimonides tribute dinner, the Pro essional
Health Services Division of State of Israel Bonds realized $1, 50 in new
loan dollars. The reception was hosted by Marlene and Paul Borman; Dr.
Stephen M. Berk was the speaker. Shown seated are Marlene Borman, Dr.
Mark L. Rosenblum and Gail L. Warden (honorees), Dr Stephen M. Berk
and Gerson Cooper. Standing are Dr. Arthur Lieberman, Dr. Harris
Mainster, Bernard Stollman and Dr. William Leuchter.

Yeshivas Darchei Torah will hold a
Summer Safety Expo 12-3 p.m.
Sunday, June 27, at the Agency for
Jewish Education.
The expo will feature information
booths and interactive exhibits spon-
sored by area hospitals, government
agencies and corporations.
Featured exhibits include the
Oakland County Sheriff's
Department, offering fingerprinting,
a boat from the Oakland County
Marine Division to teach water safe-
ty and the Southfield Fire
Department's fire truck.
The Darchei Torah seventh grade
boys will run Our Town Safety Town
complete with working traffic lights
constructed when the class studied
electricity. The boys will teach bicy-
cle safety and safe street crossing.
Kosher barbecue lunch and
refreshments will be available, and
raffles will be held to win safety
equipment such as fire extinguishers
and carbon monoxide detectors.

6:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 29, at
Congregation Shaarey Zedek.
Bar-Zohar is the official biographer
of David Ben-Gurion, the founder of
the State of Israel. He has also pub-
lished numerous novels. From 1981-
1984 Bar-Zohar was a Knesset merr: \
ber. He was reelected in 1988 and was
instrumental in launching the reform
measures that led to the direct elec-
tion of Israel's prime minister.
