The Allied Jewish Campaign will be
known as Federation's Annual
Campaign beginning with the year
2000 effort. That's one of several
Jewish Federation of Metropolitan
Detroit programs and logos in line to
receive a contemporary makeover.
Part of the change includes a new
branding system by which all advertis-
ing, signs, literature and invitations
will feature the phrase, "This is
Federation."
The Allied Jewish Campaign came
into being in 1926, when Federation
was established.
"As Federation begins to more
actively market itself and the United
Jewish Foundation, it was felt that
change in appearance was called for,"
said Howard Dembs, marketing and
communications director.
The Federated Endowment Fund
will be known as the Jewish
Community Endowment Fund. The
new name reflects collaborative efforts
by Federation, the Foundation and
other agencies involved with the
endowment fund.
Federation is the central communal
organization of the Detroit Jewish
community. The Foundation is
Federation's banking/real estate arm.
