bat mitzvah on Saturday, June 5, at

seventh grade at

Her favorite subject is French and
she enjoys swimming, dancing and

A seventh grader at West Hills
Middle School in Bloomfield Hills,
Danny is a member of the choir and
the Current Events Club. He enjoys
watching and participating in vari-
ous sports.
As part of his bar mitzvah, he
completed Adat Shalom's 13 mitzvot
program, which included volunteer-
ing at Yad Ezra.
Allison Ashley Gordon will be called to
the Torah as a bat mitzvah at Temple
Emanu-El on Saturday, June 5. Allison
is the daughter of Linda and Bruce
Gordon and the sister
of Emily. Proud
grandparents are
Florence and Ralph
Weiss. She is also the
granddaughter of the
late Bernice and
Irving Gordon.
Allison is a seventh
grade honor student
at Norup Middle School in Oak Park,
where she plays the clarinet in the
school band and participates in the
Future Problem Solvers program. She
loves to dance and has studied ballet for
seven years. Her other interests include
tennis and traveling.
For her mitzvah project, Allison per-
formed at area hospitals with the
Temple Emanu-El Youth Choir, volun-
teered with the Woods Strivers and par-
ticipated in volunteer activities with her
temple youth group.
The Jewish Parents Institute will
mark the Vnai mitzvah of Samantha
Mitchelh David Allen and Jessica
Sherman at 9:30 a.m. Saturday,
June 5, at the Birmingham Temple.
Each student has completed a research
paper, has participated in over 32
hours of community service and has
participated in a philosophical study
of the Torah and the Talmud.
Allison Maureen Goldin will be called
to the Torah as a bat mitzvah on
Saturday, June 5, at Adat Shalom
Synagogue. Allison is the daughter of
Shelley and Gary Goldin, sister of
Hilary and Scott. She is also the grand-
daughter of Helen and Steve Goldin
and Rose Stein and the late Fred Stein.
Allison is an honor student at
Orchard Lake Middle
School in West
Bloomfield and
enjoys competitive
swimming, dancing
and skiing. Her mitz-
