Ashley Lauren Rosenblat will be called
to the Torah as a bat
mitzvah at Temple
Israel on Saturday,
May 22. She is the
daughter of Jackie
and Bruce Rosenblat
and sister of Alexa.
Proud grandparents
are Rose and
Leonard Rosenblat
and Joan DeVitis. She is also the grand-
child of the late Nino DeVitis.
A Sarah Banks Middle School stu-
dent in Wolverine Lake, Ashley enjoys
dancing, water sports and the comput-
er. Her most meaningful mitzvah pro-
ject was donating to the Jewish
National Fund.
Craig Edward Rosenthal will celebrate
his bar mitzvah at
Temple Israel on
Saturday, May 22. He
is the son of Cathy
and Bruce Rosenthal,
brother of James and
grandson of Sallie
Rosenthal. He is also
the grandchild of the
late Sanford
Rosenthal and the late
Cecily and Bud Sandler.
Attending Warner Middle School in
Farmington Hills, Craig was on the
1998 and 1999 Maccabi soccer team;
he also plays basketball and football, in-
line skates and enjoys music. He found
it particularly meaningful to donate to
his grandfather's memorial fund as part
of his mitzvah projects.

b'nai mitzvah of four
young people 9:30 a.m.
Saturday, May 22, at the
Birmingham Temple. Each
of the students has corn-
pleted a research paper,
participated in over 32
hours of community service
and participated in study
of the Torah and Talmud.

An honor student at Bloomfield
Hills Middle School, Emily is a
competitive figure skater, based at
the Detroit Skating Club. She also
plays softball and enjoys Camp
Tanuga. For her mitzvot, she volun-
teered at Yad Ezra, served food at
the Red Cross on Christmas Day,
assisted with face painting at the
Common Ground Sanctuary and
participated in the Bicycle
Radiothon sponsored by Variety, the
children's charity.
Dayna Leigh Warheit will become a
bat mitzvah on Saturday, May 22, at
Temple Beth El.
She is the daughter
of Felicia and
Glenn Warheit and
sister of Scott.
Proud grandparents
are Lynne and Phil
Warheit. She is also
the granddaughter
of the late Irene and
Alex Taub. Proud great-grandmothers
are Rose Markle and Pearl Warheit.
Dayna is an honor student at
O.E. Dunckel Middle School in
Farmington Hills. She enjoys gym-
nastics, music and using the com-
puter. Dayna has volunteered at Yad
Ezra and plans to help out at her
former elementary school.
