joyfully announce the birth of their
daughter, Aliya Joelle. The proud grand-
parents are Barbara and Allan Linder of

O'Connell of Fanwood, N.J. The proud
great-grandparents are Garie and
William Weisman of West Bloomfield.
Aliya is also the great-granddaughter of

Baralat Mitzvah

Robyn Ilisa Berkowitz will become a
bat mitzvah on Friday, May 21, at
Temple Israel. She is
the daughter of B.J.
and Gary Berkowitz
and sister of Michael
and Corey. Proud
grandparents are
Gerald and Elizabeth
Berkowitz and Harry
Ludwin. She is also
the grandchild of the
late Myra Berkowitz and the late Rose
Ludwin.
A West Hills Middle School honors
student in Bloomfield Hills, Robyn is
interested in forensics, dance, art, radio
broadcasting and playing the piano. She
took part in Temple Israel's production
of Milk and Honey as part of the chorus.
Her most meaningful mitzvah project
was making dolls at Hadassah House for
distribution to hospitalized children; she
also assisted at the Temple Israel picnic.

Brandi Danielle Goodman will be
called to the Torah as a bat mitzvah on
Friday, May 21, at
Temple Israel. She is
the daughter of
Sondra and Peter
Stuart and Les and
Andrea Goodman
and sister of Matthew
Goodman. She is the
grandchild of Mae
and Dr. Milton
Goodman and Janet and Jerome
Liebow. Excited great-grandparents are
Lillian and Arthur Fisher.
Volunteering at the Fleischman
Residence and assisting at Temple Israel's
Labor Day picnic were among her most
meaningful mitzvah projects. An honor
