Greater Detroit Section

For more than twenty-five years NCJW volunteers have packed and
delivered two kosher meals every day (one hot, one cold) to approxi-
mately 200 homebound elderly Jews in the greater Detroit area. Fees
are calculated on a sliding scale. Thanks to Kosher Meals on Wheels,
we continue our commitment to seeling that no Jew goes hungry.

Get Political

Metro area women are invited to
learn why they need-to be a part of
the political process at the 12:30
p.m. program Women in Politics,
.Monday, June 7, at the office of the
National Council of Jewish Women,
Southfield.
"Getting Involved to Make a
Difference: How to Get Started" will
be the topic presented by representa-
tives Pam Godchaux (R-
Birmingham) and Gilda Jacobs (D-
Huntington Woods). Professor Shea
Howell of Oakland University will
discuss "The Intolerant Politics of
the Religious Right."
The brown-bag lunch session is
open to the community at no
charge. It is sponsored by Hadassah,
Greater Detroit Chapter; Jewish
Community' Council; Jewish
Federation Women's Department;
Jewish Women International;
Na'amat; National Council of Jewish
