Swim Club Offers
Summer Plan
Jewish Medicine
Focus Of Event
The Jewish Community Center sum-
mer swim club members are entitled
to unlimited use of any of the four
Center pools. Special summer swim
club rates are available in all cate-
gories, including family swim, health
club (35 and up) and young adult
health club (25-34). The membership
can be used from Memorial Day
through Labor Da7. The swim club
membership also includes the use of
tracks, gym, Olympic weight room
and tennis, racquetball and walleyball
courts.
Special passes will be issued to
three-month summer swim and health
club members. Fees for June through
August: $375 family swim club, $360
health club membership, $250 young
adult health club.
Full-year memberships, discounted
25-30 percent, also are available at an
additional fee. Applicants who have
not been an annual Jewish
Community Center member in the
last 12 months are eligible.

Club, Bloomfield Hills.
Guest speaker will be Dr. Michael
Nivens, author of publications in med-
ical literature.
The Maimonides Society is a forum
for Jewish physicians whose educational,
social and charitable activities promote
the shared values of the practice of med-
icine and the Jewish heritage.
Dr. Nevins, vice president of medical
affairs at the Bergen, N.J., Regional
Medical Center, is an expert in the field
of bioethics and a member of the New
Jersey Bioethics Commission. His two
books on Jewish medical history are The
Jewish Doctor,and Case Reports: Short
Stories About Jewish Doctors.
