Space for Changing Families, a nonsec-
tarian community service project of the
National Council of Jewish
Women/Greater Detroit Section, will
conduct a six-week bereavement support
group for children ages 5 to 16 begin-
ning Monday, June 14, through July 26.
This program will provide a safe
atmosphere for children to meet in age-
appropriate groups to grieve, express
and understand their feelings and to
receive support while coping with the
death of a parent, sibling or other close
loved one. At the same time, parents or
primary caregivers will meet in a sup-
port group.
The program will meet for six
weeks from 5:45-7 p.m. at the Space
office, 26400 Lahser, Suite 100,
Southfield. This is a free program
made possible by a grant from the
DeRoy Testamentary Fund.
Pre-registration is required by June 9.
Call (248) 355-9936 for information or
to register.
