Attention Investors:
Here's Your Solution To
Tax-Free Monthly Income
For decades, investors have purchased municipal bonds for their safety, security and
tax-exempt income. Now, Morgan Stanley Dean Witter National Municipal Bond
Check-A-Month Portfolio (M-CAMP'), offers you the opportunity to own a diversified
portfolio of high-quality municipal bonds.
"M-CAMPs" are professionally selected portfolios of six individual municipal bonds pro-
viding monthly income. Most of the individual bonds are rated "AAA." the highest rating
assigned by Moody's and Standard Poor's. Although the bonds are purchased together,
they may be sold individually or collectively at any time.
• Attractive Tax-Exempt Yields
• Monthly Tax-Free Income
• Diversification
• High-Quality Securities
• No Annual Fees
• Daily Liquidity*
By purchasing six different issues with alternating coupon payments, you receive
monthly income that's tax-exempt. This income is free from federal taxation and in most
cases free from state and local taxes as well. For more information on Morgan Stanley Dean
Witter M-CAMPs, call the number below today [or send in the coupon for details].

advertising brochures.
The idea seems to be that folks
will stumble onto the site and be
so impressed they'll send money.
Yeah, right.
But the new Hebrew
Immigrant Aid Society (HIAS)
homepage, while including some
basic promotional information
about the 119-year old group,
aims to be helpful and does a
darned good job.
The HIAS site opens with this ban-
ner: "Kosovo Crisis: How You can
Help." Click on it an you'll learn how
the Jewish organization is helping the
U.S. government with the resettlement
of Moslem refugees. There's also infor-
mation both for families of Kosovar
refugees who might be admitted and for
Jews who simply want to help.
An "immigration information" sec-
tion provides detailed answers to a num-
ber of questions about the immigration
process - things like green cards, affi-
davits of support and the like.
Another section offers a very basic
statistical overview of immigration and

refugee patterns, although there's too
little here to be really useful. More
useful is the information about schol-
arships that HIAS offers to deserving
immigrants. Last year, the group
awarded some $150,000 in grants.
Also check out the concise section
on the history of the organization - it
is, in effect, a chronicle of Jews in the
United States.
The HIAS site is efficient and tidy.
There are no fancy graphics to slow c–\
down your computer, no blaring
pitches for donations. Other Jewish
organizations should take a look to see
how to do the Web the RIGHT way.

Want to know the size of the typ-
ical Israeli household, or the gory
statistical details of Israel's balance
of trade status? Then check out
the Central Bureau of Statistics
site in Israel, a compendium of
miscellaneous information that
provides an interesting picture of
life in the Jewish state.
While there's lots of good stuff
here, the data is jammed together.
Some of the charts — which
include text in both English and
Hebrew — are inadequately
labeled.
