Former Detroiters Dr. and Mrs. Frank
Safran of Westport, Conn., are proud
to announce the engagement of their
daughter Dayna Michele Safran to
Chip Muller of Westport.
Ms. Safran graduated from Staples
High School in 1988 and Skidmore
College in 1993. She now lives in
Cambridge, Mass., and is an elemen-
tary school teacher in Newton, Mass.
Beginning in the fall, Ms. Safran will
attend Harvard University's graduate
program in education and technology.

Chip Muller is the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Frank Muller of Westport. Chip
was in the same high school class as
Ms. Safran but graduated in 1988
from Carrabassett Valley Academy in
Maine. In 1993, he graduated from
Middlebury College and in 1997
earned a master's degree from Boston
University. Mr. Muller is a journalist
for television news programs in
Boston and Providence, R.I.
The two will wed in Vermont in
July.

Dr. and Mrs. Martin Berman of
