Bar/Bat Mitzvah

Michael Samuel Eber will become a bar
mitzvah on Saturday, May 8, at Temple
Shir Shalom. He is the son of Deborah
and Jonathan Eber
and the brother of
Sara. Proud grandpar-
ents are Murray and
Myra Eber and Ruth
Miller.
Michael is an honor
student at Abbott
Middle School in West
Bloomfield. He enjoys
science, tennis, guitar and soccer. His
main mitzvah project was tutoring stu-
dents in Hebrew at Shir Shalom.

Jillian Ilyse Wallach, daughter of Stacy
and Howard Wallach and sister of
Shelby, will be called to the Torah as a
bat mitzvah on Saturday; May 8, at
Congregation Beth
Abraham Hillel
Moses. Her proud
grandparents are
Albert and Arlene
Brookenthal of
Toledo, Ohio. Jillian
also is the grand-
daughter of the late
Josef and Dora Wallach.
Jillian is an honor student at O.E.
Dunckel Middle School in Farmington
Hills. Her love is singing; she has per-
formed professionally at the Michigan
Opera Theater as well as at the Macomb
Center for the Performing Arts. She
plays clarinet and holds a first-degree
black belt in karate. She volunteers her
