died March 14.

Robert A. Gross of Chicago; daughter and
son-in-law Dr. Ellen E. and Spencer
Fredericks of Ypsilanti; brother and sister-
in-law Dr. Manny and Sylvia Zingeser of
Farmington Hills; granddaughter Susannah
Jane Gross.

SANFORD JOSEPH, 67, former
Detroiter of Corpus Christi, Tex., died
March 5.
Mr. Joseph is survived by his wife,
Marion; son Paul; daughter Victoria; broth-
er Jerry; sister Sally (Joseph) Saginaw.

RICHARD A. MILLER, 79, of

Southfield, died March 10. Mr. Miller was
a clothing manufacturer's representative.
He is survived by his daughter and son-
in-law, Gina Jaye and Alcide Piche of
Farmington Hills; sons and daughter-in-
law William and Debra Miller of
Northbrook, Ill., Sander Miller of Long
Beach, Calif.; grandchildren Joel Jaye,
Ilana, Eli and Talia Miller.
Mr. Miller was the loving grandfather
of the late Douglas Jaye.
Interment at Beth El Memorial Park.

RITA K. MOERS, 68, former Detroiter,

died Feb. 4.
She is survived by her sons, Michael
(Hillary) Moers, Dennis Moers; daughter
Debra (Jim) Marsh; grandchildren
Gregory and Alex; sister Geraldine Levine;
brother Maurice Kernerman.
A memorial service was held in Marina
Del Rey, Calif.

ROSALIE KANAREK, 87, of Southfield,

died March 11.
She is survived by her daughters and
sons-in-law, Barbara and Dr. Jack Dorfman
of Farmington Hills, Marcia and Alvin
Delidow of Southfield, Myra and Dr. Gary
Shapiro of Mt. Pleasant; grandchildren
Alan and Stephanie Dorfman, Laurie and
David Horwitz, Marc Dorfman, Wendy
and Dan Christie, Margo Delidow, Marla
Shapiro, Capt. Stuart Shapiro; great-grand-
children Zachary Dorfman, Shelby
Dorfman.
Mrs. Kanarek was the beloved wife of
the late Cecil Kanarek.

RUTH STRIEFLING PEDRNEY for-

merly of Southfield of Las Cruces, N.M.,
died March 6.
She was a teacher in the Detroit Public
School system for over 40 years, teaching
high school when she retired. She was one
of the teachers selected to establish curricu-
lum for teaching foreign language.
She is survived by her husband, Horus
Pedrney; nieces and nephews; great-nieces
and great-nephews.
A memorial service will be held in
Michigan. Contributions to the Jewish
National Fund for a garden of trees is
being coordinated by her niece, Doris
Gold, 22065 Las Brisas Circle, #406, Boca
Raton, FL 33433.
