ALBERT ROSENTHAL, 82, of
Farmington Hills, died Feb. 12.
Mr. Rosenthal was an executive and
owner of Boston Discount with his
brother, Gerald. He was a Mason, a
member of Perfection Lodge and a vol-
unteer for the Jewish Federation.
Mr. Rosenthal is survived by his wife,
Ruth Willner Rosenthal; daughters and
sons-in-law Caren and Ken Manko of
West Bloomfield, Leanne and Robert
Segard of Rochester Hills; son and
daughter-in-law Michael and Pat
Rosenthal of Colorado; brother Gerald
Rosenthal of West Bloomfield; sisters
and brother-in-law Virginia and Jerry
Randall of Las Vegas, Lynn Morrow of
Bloomfield Hills; grandchildren Jennifer
and Jodi Manko and Andrew and
Megan Rosenthal.

ELAINE SHIRLEY ROTHENBERG,
of Pembroke Pines, Fla., died Feb. 1.
Mrs. Rothenberg is survived by her
sons and daughters-in-law, Laurence and
Judith Rothenberg of Farmington Hills,

Livonia, Alan and Colleen Rothenberg
of Novi; daughter and son-in-law
Cynthia and Dennis Bozung of Canton;

She was the beloved wife of the late
Martin Rothenberg.

ABRAHAM SACKS, 85, of
Huntington Woods, died Feb. 10. Mr.
Sacks was a men's apparel manufactur-
ers' representative.
Mr. Sacks' heroism earned him the
Silver Star and five other medals in L_\
World War II, but he modestly waited
until 1995 to receive them. After his
retirement, he spent 14 years counselin,s
those seeking to open small businesses
with the Service Corps of Retired
Executives. He assisted Vietnamese
refugees when Temple Emanu-El fami-
lies sponsored a family of boat people.
He is survived by his wife, Beatrice_ ,
Sacks; son and daughter-in-law Andr ,
and Shari Sacks of Chelsea; daughter
and son-in-law Laura and Martin Kohn
of Huntington Woods; grandchildren
Lily, Marjorie and Alison Sacks, Maggie
and Anna Kohn; sister and brother-in-
law Ida and Harold Shapiro of Florida.
Interment at Beth El Memorial Park
