MORRIS M. LIGHTSTONE, 81, of
,o Greensboro, N.C., died Feb. 8.
She was born in Luninyetz, Poland,
grew up in Canada and moved to
Detroit when she married the late
Abraham Silberschein. She later married
the late Isadore Katz. She was active in
Pioneer Women/Na'amat USA and the
PTA.
She is survived by her son and

Mr. Lightstone was an automotive
quality control expert for Chrysler
Corp. He received his master's degree
from the University of Michigan in
math, was a member of the American
Society of Quality and a member of
Technion. Mr. Lightstone was an Army
veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his son and daugh-
ter-in-law, Jonno Lightstone and
Martha Baillie of Toronto; daughter
Rosanne Lightstone of Royal Oak;
granddaughter Emma Chesley
Lightstone; sisters and brother-in-law
Ett and Milton Kemnitz of Ann Arbor,
Pauline Rose of Florida.
Interment at Clover Hill Park

ELVIN KOLBERT, 84, of Bloomfield
\; :11s, died Feb. 12.
Prior to retirement in 1977, Mr.
Kolbert was vice president of DAB
(Detroit Aluminum & Brass) Industries.
He was also a board member and vice
president of Community Workshop.

HERMAN KUSHNER, 79, of
SOuthfield, died Feb. 15.
Mr Kushner studied music in New
York and received bachelor's and mas-
ter's degrees from Wayne State
University. He taught instrumental
music in the Detroit Public Schools for
35 years. He played the clarinet with the
Detroit Concert Band, the Heritage
Band and other local groups. He was a
,-,..fember of Temple Beth El.
He is survived by his wife, Doris
Kushner; sister Clara Samuels of
Wilmington, Del.; nieces and nephews.
