Fighting Heart Disease
and Stroke

Comedienne, actress and author
Suzanne Somers will be guest speak-
er for the annual CHOICES fund-
raising event on behalf of the
Women's Allied Jewish Campaign,
Wednesday, March 3, at Adat
Shalom Synagogue.
The event is hosted by the Jewish
Federation Women's Campaign and
Education Department. Sponsors
are Northern Trust Bank, Tapper's
Diamonds & Fine Jewelry and
Northwest Airlines.
In addition to her television
roles, Somers is a frequent enter-
tainer in Las Vegas. As an author,
she published a book of poems; an
autobiography, Keeping Secrets; a
book on adult survivors of abuse,
Wednesday's Child; and a healthy
lifestyles book, Suzanne Somers' Eat
Great, Lose Weight.
She has a health and fitness video
to her credit and has twice won the

People's Choice Award for Favorite
Actress in a new television series.
She received the Humanitarian
Award from the National Council
on Alcoholism.
Carol Weintraub Fogel is
CHOICES chair. Paula Glazier is
Women's Campaign chair.
A minimum contribution of
$180 to the 1999 Women's cam-
paign is required along with the
admission fee of $25. Luncheon
will be served.
Reservation deadline is Feb. 15.
Reservations must be accompanied
by a check made payable to the
Jewish Federation of Metropolitan
Detroit and mailed to CHOICES,
