of Oak Park, died Jan.12. She is sur-
vived by her daughters and sons-in-law,
Marjory Cohen and Melvin Kaufman of
Huntington Woods, Rochelle and
William Brunsdon of Arvada, Colo.;
grandchildren, Andrew Brunsdon, Cody
Brunsdon. Mrs. Cohen was the loving
mother of the late Joshua Martin
Cohen.

of Israel; sister, Ida Epstein of Israel;

MARSHALL LAWRENCE
FRUMAN, 61, formerly of Detroit of

Las Vegas, died Jan. 9. He was a gradu-
ate of the University of Michigan and
the Ohio School of Podiatry. Mr. Fru-
man was a podiatrist for over 20 years in
Orlando, Fla., until his retirement in
1997.
He is survived by his wife Carol; par-

ents, Albeit and Dorothy Fruman of
Bloomfield Hills; daughters and sons-in-
law, Hyla (David) Kallen of Glencoe,
Ill., Marcy (Patrick) O'Malley of Bloom-
field, Shana of Tarzana, Calif.; son,
Brian of Santa Monica, Calif.; grand-
children, Matthew, Leah and Benjamin
Kallen, Danielle and Brody O'Malley;
brother and sister-in-law, Dr. Dale
(Rosemary) Fruman of Murrysville, Pa.;
brother, Dr. Lee S. Fruman of Franklin.

VALENTIN GERBST, 84, of Oak

Park, died Jan.12. He is survived by his
wife, Yevgeniya Perelmutr; daughter and
son-in-law, Anna and Yury Gendelman
of West Bloomfield; grandson, Vladimir.

PNINA DOBRUSHIN GINZACH,

84, of Tel Aviv, died Jan. 15. Born in
Poland, she immigrated to Palestine as a
pioneer in 1933 after graduating from
the Teacher's College in Vilna. In Israel
she taught elementary school, working
with children from poor neighborhoods
and developing programs for illiterate
new immigrants. Later in her career, she
trained teachers at various teachers' col-
leges. She published articles in profes-
sional journals and wrote textbooks for
teaching literature and Bible. She went
back to school for a bachelor's degree
from Hebrew University.
Mrs. Ginzach is survived by her
daughter and son-in-law, Nira and
Amos Lev of Southfield; son and daugh-
ter-in-law, Yosef and Gloria Ginzach of
Israel; sister, Rachel Zinger of Israel;
grandchildren Ron and Ori Lev, Shai,
Oren and Nava Ginzach.

STEVEN MICHAEL ISENBERG, 41,

of San Francisco, died Jan. 13. Mr. Isen-
berg was a clothing business sales repre-
sentative. He was also a volunteer for the
Jewish Children's Family Services. Mr.
Isenberg is survived by his mother,
Eileen Isenberg; sisters and brother-in-
law, Lynn Isenberg of California, Lauren
and Frank Zinn of Ann Arbor and
niece, Mara Zinn. He was the loving
son of the late Dr. Gerald Isenberg.

Interment at Maclipelah Cemetery.

JANET LAKRITZ, 91, of West

Bloomfield, died Jan. 16. Mrs. LaKritz
was a 57 year member of Temple
Israel and on the board of its sister-
hood, ran the gift shop at Temple
Israel on Manderson in Detroit and
was a member of Hadassah. She is sur-
vived by her husband, Irving LaKritz;
daughter and son-in-law, Linda and
Dr. Burt Frank of New Jersey; son and
daughter-in-law, William and Eliza-
beth LaKritz of Farmington Hills;
grandchildren, Risa and Michael Zim-
merman, Dr. Jodee Frank, Gavin
LaKritz, Elyse LaKritz; great-grand-
children, Aaron and Raquel Zimmer-
man and sister and brother-in-law,
Florence and Louis Cantor of Aventu-
ra, Fla. Mrs. LaKritz was the dear sis-
ter of the late Arthur Rubin and the
late Harold Rubin.
Interment at Beth El Memorial

Calif., died Jan. 14. He is survived by

his wife, Joan Anna Lesnick; sons,

and Ben Lesnick and Steven

THELMA INDICTOR SILVER
LEVY, 94, of Orchard Lake, died Jan.

15. She is survived by her daughter

ANN MAYERS, 77, of Dearborn

Heights, died Jan. 18. Mrs. Mayers is
survived by her sons and daughters-in-
law, Mark and Carol Orden of Dear-
born, Arthur and Virginia Mayers of
Illinois; grandchildren, Amber, Court-
ney, Shawn and Jennifer Mayers and
brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and
Betty Nosanchuk of Farmington Hills.
