have not ever seen in a restaurant and
certainly never on such a freezing cold
day. It was kismet.
"The pastry chef presented them
dessert with a lovely Happy Anniver-
sary scripted around their plate. Ser-
vice was terrific, as was our food. Lots
of luck to Paul Kohn and his new
kosher cuisine de gourmet."
NAME OF THE GENT folks
have been finding so personable and
cooperative at Big Daddy's Parthenon,
Orchard Lake Road north of Maple, is
Ray Benedict, with Tommy Peristeris
and Rick Rogow since it opened ... He
is their day manager.
In case you're wondering or may
have heard otherwise, there is no con-
nection whatsoever between Big
Daddy's Parthenon and Uptown
Parthenon ... Parthenon is the nan , ,
of the ancient Greek temple ruins in
Athens.
TIME AGAIN for the 21st annual
River Crab Salmon Stakes Fishing Tour-
nament coming up soon ... All proceeds
again will go to the Blue Water Mental
Clinic and its wonderful outpatient
counseling programs for troubled chil-
dren and their families ... Honorary
chairperson will be WXYZ-TV's fine
and very gracious Diana Lewis.
TOWNSEND BAKERY at
Townsend Hotel in Birmingham is
not strictly for the hotel ... it is open
to the public daily ... The cafe, too.
THIS WILL BE the 50th consecu-
tive year for its Brotherhood Night by
Jewish War Veterans ... with Feb. 23,
7:30 p.m., set at the JWV Memorial
Building on West 12 Mile Road in
Southfield.
Families and friends can attend the
no-charge program with refreshmeTirs
by the JWV Ladies Auxiliary, Depart-
ment of Michigan.
IT'S ALWAYS BEST to smother a
fire before it gathers too much
momento ... and so any talk about
rabbinical supervision being removed
from La Difference kosher restaurant
in West Bkornfield-deserves to be .
