Akiva Hebrew School boy's basketball
team is off to its best start ever at 7-1.
Following a 78-69 loss to Westside
Christian in which Luli Gottfried
poured in 30 points, the team has won
its last seven in a row, defeating Eton
Academy, Columbus Torah Academy
and Wyandotte Our Lady of Mount
Carmel.
Leading scorers Gottfried, Zeevi
Reinitz and Aron Srolovitz are averag-
ing double figures. Barry Skoczylas is
the leading rebounder on the team,
and pulled down a game high 15
against Mount Carmel.
Akiva will have a shot at redemption
against Westside Christian, and will
travel to tournaments in Toronto and
New York.
