World Wide Web. Reflecting its
ambiguous sovereign status, some of the
entity's more noteworthy sites are based
elsewhere, mostly in the United States.
To save time fighting with search
engines, the one definitive place to
check out a variety of categories of
interest is vvvv- w.palestine-
net.com/palestine.html, which is run
from Eugene, Ore.

Palestine-net offers eight categories
of Web sites: general content; busi-
ness; education and research; news
and media; culture and heritage; gov-
ernment sites; non-government and
not for profit; and other miscellaneous
sites. Within these categories are links
to sites on those topics.
The problem with many of the sites
is the language: you may want to have
a translator handy when checking out
these sites. The exception is the govern-
ment sites, where many are offered in
English only, or with an Arabic option.
The media sites are all in Arabic,
except for one, www.amin.org/En/,
which offers an English option.
On the education side, the six
Palestinian college and university
sites are overall not too different
