ordan Weiss, an eighth
grader at Hillel Day
School, could have spent
his winter break some-
where on vacation or lounging at
home. But on the day before New
Year's Eve, Weiss found himself
walking beside a horse in a very
cold barn, helping Noah Sriro, an
autistic 8-year-old boy, get the
most out of a ride on Rusty.
Taking part in a new "winter
camp" to increase help for families
with children with developmental
disabilities, Weiss was paired with
Sriro for the entire four days and
assisted him through a wide assort-
ment of activities, including horse
riding, tobogganing, swimming,
bowling and visiting a science muse-
