BETTY LEVINE, 85, formerly of

Detroit of Bronx, N.Y., died Dec. 24.
She is survived by her daughters, Mrs.
Sheldon Schwartz (Estelle) of Bronx,
Mrs. Carol Kornfeld of Oak Park,
Mrs. David Eidelman (Judy) of Pala-
tine, Ill.; grandchildren, Hope Bocker
and Eric Schwartz of Bronx, Jill Eidel-
man of Chicago, Matthew Eidelman
of Palatine, Rachel Kornfeld of South-
field and Alysa Kornfeld of Oak Park;
great-grandson, Joshua Bocker. She
was the wife of the late Irving Levine
and grandmother of the late Jeffrey
Schwartz.
Interment in New York.

FLORENCE LEVY, 89, of West

Bloomfield, died Dec. 24. Mrs. Levy
is survived by her son and daughter-
in-law, Irwin and Patricia Levy of Bev-
erly Hills; daughter and son-in-law,
Arlene and Edwin Tarnopol of West
Bloomfield; grandchildren, Michael
and Michelle Levy, Bryan Levy, Jamey
Braitman, Marc Tarnopol and Sharon
Sandberg, Joel and Vicki Tarnopol;
great-grandchildren, Lauren and Ryan
Levy, Rebecca and Craig Tarnopol,
Samantha Tarnopol and brother and
sister-in-law, Sidney and Edie Col-
man. She was the beloved wife of the
late Morton Levy.
Interment at Machpelah Cemetery.

EVA (BAKER) LEWIS, 83, of West-

on, Mass., died Dec. 17. Mrs. Lewis
was a lifetime member of Hadassah,
the Ikebana Society, Temple Israel of
Boston Sisterhood, and the Museum
of Fine Arts, Boston.
She is survived by her beloved hus-
band, Stanley M. Lewis; children,
Phyllis and Marshall Loewenstein of
Bloomfield Hills, Leslie B. (Buddy)
Lewis and Nannette Lewis of Chest-
nut Hill, Mass., Dr. Richard B. and
Priscilla Lewis of Cummaquid, Mass.,
and Wendy Jo of Sherborn, Mass.;
grandchildren, Judy (Scott) Roberts,
Mark (Karen) Loewenstein, Richard
(Dana) Loewenstein, Michael (Amy)
Loewenstein, Nancy (Eric) Goldstein,

field, died Dec. 23. He is survived by
his wife, Margaret Ludwig; sons and

Ludwig; daughter and son-in-law,
Lani and Cal Abbott; brother and sis-

TRUDY H. MODELL, 76, of Aspen
Colo., died Dec. 18. Mrs. Modell is

survived by her husband, Harry Mod-
ell; daughter, Magie Citrin of Vancou-
ver, British Columbia; son, Andy
Modell of Aspen, Colo.; granddaugh-
ter, Ana Citrin and sister, Natalie
Kramer of Birmingham.

JULIUS NOVICK, 82, of Bloomfield

Hills, died Dec. 27. Mr. Novick was a
plastic manufacturing executive who
was active in business in Michigan and
the Detroit area since the late 1930's.
He was the founder of Argo Paint and
Chemical Company, the founder of
Argo Business Forms, a co-founder of
Deluxe Data Printers, the founder of
Argus Coatings and Chemical, the
founder of Argo International, Inc. in
Interlochen, Mich., and the founder
of 500 Plastics, Inc. in Sault Ste
Marie. Mr. Novick was an avid sailor,
a member of the Great Lakes Club
and was in the Coast Guard during
WW II.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth
Novick; daughter and son-in-law, Bar-
bara and Edward Reynolds of Ann
Arbor; stepson, Bruce Bussell of Livo-
nia and grandchildren, Amy Hoober-
man and Lauren Hooberman. Mr.
