announce the adoption of Amanda
Hope Marisol, who arrived home
from Guatemala on Oct. 22. Her
Hebrew name is Rachel Leah. Aman-
da is the granddaughter of Dr. David
and Ruth Edgar of Farmington Hills,
Irving Kingston of Royal Oak and Dr.
Michael and Kolene Holland of Bay
City. She is the great-granddaughter of
June Rubin and Honey Magid. Her
Hebrew name is after her maternal
great-grandmother Rae Smith, and
paternal great-great-grandmother Lena
Beckerman.
Bar/Bat Mitzvah
Noah Benjamin Levinson will cele-
brate his bar mitzvah on Saturday,
Nov. 21, at Congregation Adat
Shalom. He is the son of Elise
(Chapin) and Dr. Marty Levinson of
Huntington Woods
and the brother of
Joshua, Sinion and
Gideon. Proud
00 grandmother is Rosa
Levinson. Noah is
the grandson of the
late Louis Levinson
and Sam and Anna
Chapin.
An honor student
at Norup Middle School in Oak Park,
Noah is an avid sports enthusiast and
plays piano, trombone and percussion
in the school band and jazz band. He
enjoys traveling and is a seasoned
camper at Tamarack Camps.
For his mitzvah project he has pre-
pared a musical concert for the resi-
dents at Federation Apartments and a
JARC home. He also raised money for
JARC. Noah will travel to Israel this
summer for the third time, in honor
OP of his bar mitzvah.

Sasha Ann Zoller, daughter of Beth
and Howard Zoller, and sister of Eli
and Lilly Zoller, will become a bat
mitzvah on Saturday, Nov. 21, at Con-
gregation Shaarey Zedek. Sasha is the
granddaughter of Melvin and Carol
Zoller and of Gilbert and Phyllis
Schwartz. Sasha is an
honor student at
Norup Middle-
School in Oak Park
and plays the flute in
the school band.
Sasha also studies
jazz dancing. Sasha
chose numerous
mitzvah projects including working at
Yad Ezra (where she has assisted for
many years) and helped at Congrega-
tion Shaarey Zedek.
David Cohen will celebrate his bar
mitzvah on Saturday, Nov. 21, at Con-
gregation B'nai
Moshe. David is the
son of Irwin and
Fern Cohen. Sharing
in his celebration are
his sisters, Marci and
Lori, along with his
grandmothers, Ann
Cohen and Dora
Mendelson. David is
also the grandson of
the late Louis Cohen and Abe
Mendelson.
David attends Abbott Middle
School in West Bloomfield. He enjoys
working on the school yearbook, his
summers at Camp Tamakwa and his
position as goalie for his in-line hock-
ey team.
Scott Loren Weintrob will be called to
the Torah as a bar mitzvah on Satur-
day, Nov. 21, at
Temple Israel. He is
the son of Bonnie
and Thomas Wein-
trob and brother of
Adam and Eric.
Proud grandparents
are Marie and
Harold Flacks,
Robert Weintrob
and Ruth and Willie
Weinberg. He is also the grandson of
the late Rose Weintrob.
A student at Warner Middle School
in Farmington Hills, Scott enjoys
sports and the computer. His most
meaningful mitzvah project involved
volunteering at Menorah House.
