BENJAMIN A. HILSON, 93, of
West Bloomfield, died Nov. 13. Mr.
Hilson was a furniture salesman. He
is survived by his son and daughter-
in-law, Lee and Elaine Hilson of
Grand Blanc; daughter, Marilyn
Kaplansky of Commerce; grandchil-
dren, Wayne Kaplansky, Rhonda and
John Angelo, Valerie and Larry
Morianti, Joni and William
Catanese, Debra and Paul Shekoski;
great-grandchildren, Mark, Garret,
Aaron, Rachel, Michael and Gia;
brother and sister-in-law, Adam and
Judy Henein and sister, Florence
Pezda. Mr. Hilson was the beloved
husband of the late Frieda Hilson.

SANDRA JANKOWIAK, 58, of Troy,
died Nov. 13. Mrs. Jankowiak was a
industrial office worker. She is sur-
vived by her son and daughter, Harold
C. and Robin E. Jankowiak. Mrs.
Jankowiak was the beloved wife of the
late Edward Jankowiak and the dear
sister of the late Harold C. Smith and
the late Leonard Gerogach.
Interment at Beth El Memorial
Park. Contributions may be directed

RHODA LACHER, 91, of South-
field, died Nov. 11. She was an educa-
tor and educational researcher. She
worked extensively with children with
speech impediments and behavioral
problems in the 1950s and 60s. In
earlier years she was engaged in sales
management and also operated a
health club in Shaker Heights, Ohio.
She is survived by her sister, Doris
Horowitz; nieces and nephews, David
and Barbara Lacher, Judy Cohen, Bar-
bara Mitnick, Michael and Carol
Lacher, Leonard and Cheryl Horowitz,
Norman Horowitz and Robert
Tomasik, Jerry and Karen Horowitz,
Cynthia and Philip Wolf; grandnieces
and grandnephews.
