unique evening, 7:45 p.m. Saturday,
Oct. 17, at the congregation.
Following a traditional Havdalah ser-
vice will be an evening of hobo fun.
Participants should come dressed in
hobo clothes, bring cheap wine (in a
brown paper bag). A gourmet dinner
(soup kitchen variety) will be served.
There will be card games and board
games, hobo talent and fashion con-
tests. The Havdalah is free. Admission
to the hobo party: $5 per person plus a
can of food to be donated to the poor.

the "Shabbat Shmooze: a Little Praying,
a Little Learning, a Little Noshing and
a Lot of Shmoozing" on Shabbat morn-
ing for youth in grades 7-12, 10-11:30
a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 17, at the syna-
gogue. B'nai Moshe USY received
regional recognition at the Central
Region United Synagogue Youth
Regional Convention with an award for
the Best Continuing Shabbat Program.
During the Shabbat Shmooze, partici-
pants learn about Israel, Torah and
Jewish values. They are encouraged to
express their opinions, share their views
and enjoy Shabbat services in a corn-
fortable and relaxed atmosphere.

Singles Extension's
Anniversary Party

Temple Israel's Singles Extension Group
invites Jewish singles age 50 and over to
its 12th anniversary installation party, 7
p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18, in the temple's
Herman Hall.
The event includes dancing to Wally
Duda's music and light refreshments.
