ore than 120 golfers took
part in the third annual
Hillel Golf Classic Sept.
16 at the Rochester Hills
Golf Sc. Country Club.
The outing raised approximately
$18,000 for educational and sports
programming at Hillel Day School of
Metropolitan Detroit, up from
$14,000 last year.
The team of Gary Eisele, Jim
Rosenbaum, Steve Miller and Mike
Jagot won the classic with a score of 8-
under par 64, one stroke ahead of the
team of Dov, Michael and Gabriel
Schuchman and William Jewell.
Matt Schwanitz, Brian Roehl and
Steve and Bud Engelhart finished in a
tie for third place with the team of
Steve Margolin, Larry Garon, Eli
Maroko and Gary Koloff, with a 6-
under 66.
Jewell also won the men's long drive
contest, with honorary chairwoman
Yolette Jaffe taking honors in the
woman's contest. Steve Weisberg and
Lisa Jaffe won their respective divisions
in the closest to the pin contest. LI
