bat mitzvah at Temple Israel on Satur-
day, Sept. 26. She is the daughter of
Bella and Michael Imas and sister of
Dr. Alexsander Imas.

ingful mitzvah pro-
ject involved assist-
ing at the Fleis-
chman Residence. A
student at Abbott
Middle School in West Bloomfield,
Jessica loves to dance, enjoys reading
and looks forward to travel.

Mark Robert Lipson will become a
bar mitzvah at Havdalah services at
Temple Israel on Saturday, Sept. 26.
He is the son of Debra and Barry Lip-
son and brother of Kevin and Brian.
Proud grandparents
are Sylvia and
Samuel Deutsch and
Honora Lipson. He
also is the grandson
of the late Alex Lip-
son.
Volunteering at
Fleischman and
babysitting at Tem-
ple Israel were part of his mitzvah pro-
jects. A student at Orchard Lake Mid-
dle School in West Bloomfield, Mark
enjoys sports, especially in-line skat-
ing, hockey, tennis, golf and football.

Emily Dana Biederman will become
a bat mitzvah at Adat Shalom Syna-
gogue on Saturday, Sept. 26. Emily is
the daughter of
Neil and Sharon Biederman. She is
the proud granddaughter of David
Biederman and the
late Betty Bieder-
man. Emily is
also the granddaugh-
ter of the late Leo
and Esther Frish-
man.
Emily is an honor
student at Orchard
Lake Middle School
in West Bloomfield. For her mitzvah
project, Emily volunteered at and
donated money to Yad Ezra. In her
free time, Emily enjoys dancing and
skiing.
