Aish HaTorah will move from
Franklin to Birmingham next month.
The Birmingham center will be mod-
eled after similar centers that Aish
operates in Manhattan, Toronto, Los
Angeles and 10 other cities in North

Marni Ann Holtzman, Grand
Rapids native and a graduate student
at Boston College, is one of four
graduate students nationwide chosen
as 1998 Hillel Steinhardt Scholars.
The program develops a cadre of
well-rounded, exceptional Jewish
professional leadership. From 1991
to 1997, Holtzman was a Hebrew
school teacher and tutor at Temple
Beth Emeth in Ann Arbor and holds
a similar post at Temple Israel in
Boston. In the 1997-98 academic
year, she was a social work intern
with Jewish Community Housing
for the Elderly in Brighton.
